Erotic Signature has taken careful consideration of what is acceptable, traditional and progressive in the world of erotic art. This year we've added another category in the competition to cover artworks produced using "Mixed Media".  We hope the five categories we have selected include most mediums of expression in this subject. We acknowledge that some artists work in mediums beyond our categories, for example film and animation. These subjects prove much more difficult to illustrate in a book or in a traditional exhibition.

We sincerely apologize to you if your medium is not within our five chosen categories. Maybe next time! However, we do hope the categories cover most of you and we look forward to receiving and enjoying each and every entry you have to offer. Do remember that even if you are not a winner, your art would have been viewed by important individuals within the erotic art movement, and curators of erotic museums worldwide would have been introduced to your work.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

No one under the age of 18 years old or the minimum required age in your community to access this website or any adult oriented websites may enter this competition. Any winner later found to be under this age limit will be disqualified and subject to the forfeit of their entry fees.

CATEGORIES

There are five categories for the "The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today" Competition. All will be judged by an international body of jurors ranging from erotic museum curators, and established masters in the field of erotic art and art academics.

Be assured that all works will be considered equally regardless of medium, method, or subject, providing the content is not outside the boundaries of consenting sexuality. We want to see it all! We feel that the chosen categories represent the most visible and universal expressions of erotic art today. We hope that the range of categories includes the highest number of artists and artworks as possible and again apologize if your work does not fit one of our categories. The five categories are: Fine Art, Photography, Digital Art, Sculpture, Mixed Media.

Fine Art  -  All artworks in this category must have been produced by hand. Any medium or technique on the subject is acceptable. The art may range from realistic to cartoon.  However, no computer enhanced imagery, if detected, will be accepted (Please use 'Mixed Media' category for any fine art work that is digitally enhanced).

Digital Art  -  This category includes artworks produced only by computer and digital means.  If your digital artwork is photographic based; meaning if you use a camera or video recorder to capture any image(s) used within your artwork, please use the 'Mixed Media' category.

Photography  -  This category involves artworks attained by the means of a digital or traditional film camera without any changes to the original image. We will NOT accept photographs that have been significantly enhanced by digital means for this category.  Please use the 'Mixed Media' category.

Sculpture  -  Any three dimensional (3-D) artwork piece of any size that is tangible will be accepted in this category.

Mixed Media  -  Any artwork produced with a combination of any or all of the above categories. 

SUBJECT MATTER

We have set very few parameters in this area, we want to encourage art expressing every sexuality and subject matter, heterosexual, gay and lesbian, transsexual, fetish and alternative lifestyles; however all work must not move outside of the boundaries of consenting sexuality. We will not tolerate any works that include references to minors or beastiality, or depict violence.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: ELIGIBILITY

The misconceptions of the scope of erotic art to many people are both varied and controversial. We hope through this book to define the line better of what is acceptable eroticism in art. 'Erotic Signature' is looking for tasteful, beautiful, progressive, controversial, challenging, unique, and technically assured erotic artworks; work that are created from your heart, mind and artistic talents.  Artists are allowed to enter the competition just once (only 1 account or profile is allowed per individual) and submit up to 5 images (max) at  $20 per image until the deadline of February 15th, 2009:

Entries Options: You can select the number of images you want to enter into the competition during your initial registration, and later add more images until you reach the maximum (5) allowed. You have the opportunity to have all your entries published if selected by the jury.

Living Artists Only: Although we do not have a time limit on the images being submitted into the competition, the artist must be alive at the time of submission; meaning a relative, agent, or heir is not allowed to enter artworks for an artist who has already passed away.

ARTWORKS REGULATIONS

Entries to 'Erotic Signature' will not be returned, so please, do not submit original artworks. A maximum of five (5) images may be submitted (uploaded by the artist). Any or all 5 of them may be chosen for publication. We are not responsible for artworks or entries that get lost in the mail or sent by email. All entries must be uploaded through our internet site; if you are mailing your application to be processed by our staff, we will create your profile after we've successfully processed the payment for your entries.  Following, we will send you notification to upload your images yourself.  We expect artworks to be submitted in the color of which the original artwork was intended to be shown. If the artwork is in black and white, we will assume this is how you intended it to be reproduced. If you are not familiar with these terms or do not have a file of your work, more can be learned at any high quality copy center or art service bureau, where this digital translation can be done.

The following artworks will not be accepted:
   1. All work outside of the boundaries of consenting sexuality.
   2. Any works that include references to minors or beastiality, or violence.
   3. Photos that are corrupted, blurred, or grossly oversized.
   4. Images or artworks with any information included or embedded in them overtly large, including but not limited to artist names, nicknames, e-mail addresses, web addresses or telephone numbers.

COPYRIGHTS

Important:  All artists shall be in possession of ownership and copyright of the submitted artwork, or have signed document(s) granting permission of the copyright holder, and have no legal objection to 'Erotic Signature' publishing the selected winning image(s) in "The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today - Vol. III" book. Erotic Signature is not responsible for false copyright claims. No other rights, print, electronic or other are granted to 'Erotic Signature'.  However, we may wish to use selected images in the promotions and marketing of the book only.

All copyright ownership stays with the artist for this publication and in no way will your professional integrity as image owners be compromised. We may wish to use selected images for the promotion of this book in the press and media; however no works will be printed on any other literature for sale other than the book.  By submitting the application form you agree to this permission.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Entry fees for on-line applications may be paid with all major debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). A small processing fee is added to each payment made online. There will be no further fees for this competition after your entry fees have been paid.

We also accept checks (personal and business), money order, and all of the above forms of payment with the mail-in application as well. All mail-in applications must accompany the entrants' full billing address and phone number as required on both the entry and credit card approval forms, and must have an original signature of the applicant. Please do not mail cash, unless sent by registered mail.

DEADLINE OF ENTRIES

All entries must be submitted and uploaded by no later than February 15th, 2009.  Winners will be notified by February 22nd, 2009, and posted on the Erotic Signature Website by February 28th, 2009.
